It’s bike month, friends. That means one thing here in Fresno...and the rest of the country. It’s time to remember how great it feels to be out in the world riding your bike. Whether it’s for utility, recreation, training or exercise; there is one thing we can all agree on: “Biking = Joy.”
To remind you of this I Bike Fresno mantra, we’ve arranged for some incentives and events to get you in the bike riding spirit.

One Million Miles. Every year we challenge the greater Fresno area to ride a collective million miles during bike month. Why? Because riding a million miles with a bunch of strangers is COOL!!! Imagine being part of a community that decided biking occasionally to work, the store or around the block was going to be better for themselves and their neighbors. Picture it? THAT is what a million miles of bike riding in May feels like. And THAT feels pretty good. So let’s DO IT!!!

How bad do we want you to ride your bike everyday in the month of May? Well, we’re not above bribery. We’re bringing back 31 Days of Prizes this year. Ride your bike and log your miles at ibikefresno.org. Everyday you log a mile, you’ll be entered into that day’s drawing. The next day, we’ll select a name at random from that pool of riders for a chance to win some awesome prizes.
Prizes like wine tours, official NFL merchandise, cool bike stuff and even an expedition down the Kings River!!!Drawings will happen at Noon the following day. (i.e. Monday's drawing will take place at noon on Tuesday to give you time to get your miles in.)

Participate in one of the funnest and longest standing bike month events: the Mall-to-Mall Ride. You and your bike riding friends will take to the streets and ride with a police escort that stops traffic for us as we take a lane from the Manchester Mall to the Fulton Mall. Then enjoy an informal return ride back to the Manchester Mall. It’s a fun ride and a great way to meet other riders.

Ride your bike to the Clovis Farmers Market and I Bike Fresno will valet park it for free. FREE. Avoid the traffic and parking by letting us watch your bike for you. Collect your bike when you’re ready to head home and then log your miles at ibikefresno.org. Can’t beat that, right?
